A few months after recording this, our second edition of Brussels Sprouts, we decided ‘To hell with it’ we might as well publish it! Following the lukewarm reception our first video got, we felt we needed to try again before giving up on our attempt at building a youtube career. As Helen said ‘you can’t knock us for trying’. So here it is, with a new editing style (inspired as Mathew pointed out by youtube sensation Phil Defranco). Feedback this time has been encouraging “well, it’s so much better its unrecognisable …” (says Mtthew) – which might say as much about the previous attempt as about this one. Anyway special thanks to Hugh and to Nicolas from Cactus for the help and input. As they say in showbiz… We’ll be back.

When the members of your team work in one company, of course they are under the umbrella of the brand name. But they still are working on different projects and it’s very difficult to confront and push your colleagues to be equally active on the social media. Meaning, that, the representatives from the X-project team don’t have the habit to be proactive in the digital world, while the ones from the Y-project team are already over-flooding the net with info about how their project evolves and what are they doing. Then imagine what happens when you post info only about the Y-project on your company fan page on FB…total destruction of the corporate brand and vision, not to speak about lack of proportionality in terms of balance.

The decision – make the X-ers feel special about their working on their project. They are a key feature of the company, so they also have the important task to promote that project, and to be as active as the Y-team, which already has proven its digital presence. Key words – special, unique, umbrella, union.
